Zero Chills! Lillian Muli Sneers At Babu Owino To His Face Over Prolonged Stay At University
Paul Ongili aka Babu Owino has been at the University of Nairobi (UoN) for approximately 8 years, when the longest course in university only takes about 6 years. Babu’s prolonged stay at UoN has been an issue and Lillian Muli touched on it last night!
Last night, the topic on Citizen TV’s One On One was youth and morality. Babu Owino, Robert Alai and others where the guests.
Lillian Muli led her guests in discussing Project X and how teens were indulging in immoral activities. Campus students were also drawn into the discussion.
The most interesting part of the discussion was when Lillian Muli caught Babu pants down with an embarrassing remark.
The Citizen TV anchor was alluding that students who prolonged their stay in campus were actively involved in Project X-like parties.
Lillian said so as she was trying to expound on a question she had asked Babu Owino.
“In campuses across the country you will find people who have been in campus for years (laughs)… I don’t even know how the VC allows these kids to be in campus for long…” Lillian Muli sneered at Babu Owino.
For starters, Babu Owino has been at UoN since 2008. He enrolled at the varsity to pursue Actuarial Science and graduated in 2012 with First Class Honors.
Babu first became the SONU Chair for the period 2011/2012. To keep his ‘job’ as students’ leader, Babu enrolled for a second Bachelor’s Degree in Law in May 2013.
His long stay at UoN has prompted critics to label him the ‘Museveni of UoN’.
Back to Lillian Muli’s taunt on Babu, the UoN students’ leader smiled when the Citizen TV anchor goaded him but you could tell he was burning with fury from inside.
