“Your Days Of Miraa Are Over, Try Bhang.” Caroline Mutoko Gives Meru Residents A Bitter Pill To Swallow

She is not afraid of being trolled, Caroline Mutoko’s mission was to hammer home an inflammatory message to the people of Meru.

Meru region is known for the growth of miraa, the green gem that has been the backbone of the Mount Kenya region for decades.

Most of the miraa grown in Meru is usually exported to other areas in Kenya and abroad. But the European Union closed its door on miraa from Kenya leaving farmers in agony of exploring other markets.

That’s where Caroline Mutoko came in handy with a brilliant idea; stop growing miraa altogether as no one in Europe or America is going to buy it.

Caroline wants miraa farmers to start growing cannabis or at least she’s calling on Meru legislators to champion the legalization of bhang in Kenya.

Caroline’s defended her hard-hitting message saying Meru politicians were not sincere with the electorates to tell them to change to another type of cash crop farming like bhang, since the West was banning miraa consumption.

“Your days of miraa are OVER. Let me say this again. Am not a politician, it’s not my job to lie to you but the days of selling miraa are over. But there is a new day, it’s called marijuana, it’s also call bhang, weed, pot… sell it!!” Caroline advised miraa farmers.
