Where Creatives Can Network Tomorrow
Are you are creative and looking to network with other likeminded youth in Nairobi? Then tomorrow, Thursday 31st May 2012 will be the perfect opportunity for you to interact with the creative and forward thinking populace to further whatever idea it is you have there…
On their Facebook page, PAWA254 updated:
‘Since Friday is a public holiday, tomorrow will also be the open day at the hub. Come on over, read from the library, surf the web, connect and network with fellow creatives. Tell a friend, invite another two and c’mon over’
Here’s a brief description about PAWA254:
Nairobi’s unique new social enterprise and collaborative space for creatives and youth to achieve work of social impact.
PAWA254 derives its name from a combination of “power” in Swahili and 254, Kenya’s country code, as a symbol of national strength and unity. The new hub will facilitate the use of visual and graphic arts, independent and citizen journalism, documentary film and photography, and digital and social media as means of civic expression and social action.
PAWA254’s like-minded and active professional community will meet and work daily in its flexible co-working space. The space will also serve as an open resource for a range of collaborative youth meetings and efforts, an exhibition center for photography and other artistic endeavors, and a vector for angel investors and others seeking to support social change in Kenya. Regular programs and training will foster skill-sharing and empower a new generation of young professionals and disadvantaged youth to effect social change through tangible, innovative projects.
The Pawa254 hub is located in State House Crescent. You can search for ‘Pawa 254’ on Facebook for more directions
