Wangechi Shows Growth and Outdoes Herself in New Hit Song

2014 had a rather tragic end for Wangechi Waweru after a catastrophic accident left her best friend dead and Wangechi in the ICU for 4 months with grave injuries that included getting paralyzed on her left side of her body.

But just like the proverbial phoenix, she rose from the ashes and not only learnt to walk again but sprouted some new wings that enabled her to soar higher than an eagle to musical greatness.

She joined Coke Studio Season 3 as an artist under which she got a chance to feature in Africa’s first peace anthem alongside Dama Do Bling,Ali Kiba, Maurice Kirya, Ice Prince and Zwai Bala.

Also in Coke Studio Africa, Wangechi managed to feature in a song with American superstar Neyo.2015 was a great year for Wangechi as she also shared a stage with Mos Def, Morgan Heritage and a long list of other international artistes.

  2016 has began as a working year since she has already finished recording her first album dubbed “Ceilings” which involves her life within recovery from the accident she had in 2014 to what she has become now. The album will be released later in the year together with a short musical film she is working on with a few widely-acclaimed international cinematographers.

 She hereby releases an introduction to her Album titled “No Limits” which basically is an empowering song with a brief message of working beyond what they say the sky is the limit. In this case the sky is not the limit, there’s more beyond that.
