VIDEO: Check Out Paul Tergat’s Johnny Walker Commercial

East Africa now has an icon in the Johnny Walker Hall of Fame. World athletics record holder, Paul Tergat, is the latest personality to join the Johnny Walker initiative which shares and celebrates the life stories of some of the world’s most inspirational men through the global Walk With Giants campaign.

Tergat becomes the fifth African giant, joining fellow runner and, at some point, fierce competitor, Ethiopia’s Haile Gebrselassie. The other Africans include entrepreneur Prince Kofi Amoabeng from Ghana, musician Manu Dibango from Cameroon and retired soccer player Samson Siasia from Nigeria.

They join other Giants from beyond the continent including business magnate Richard Branson, Formula One world champions, Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button, advertising creative, John Hegarty, fashion designer, Ozwald Boateng and explorers Ranulph Fiennes and Amyr Klink.

Johnnie Walker is the world’s most recognized Scotch whisky brand. The Johnnie Walker Walk With Giants campaign, featuring the brand’s iconic Striding Man, celebrates individuals who can be considered Giants in their fields and who share their personal stories to inspire others to take the next step on their personal journey.
