VIDEO: American Idol Winner Learns a Kenyan Dance

The eighth American Idol winner, Kris Allen, spent most of his 2012 holidays in the country. And besides herding goats, he also learned a traditional Kenyan dance.

The 27-year old singer was in Kenya for a charity mission, which saw him get involved in various projects to give back to the community thanks to World Vision. The initiative is part of the True Spirit of Christmas tour which began at the end of November.

World Vision’s global work is broad and diverse. They work to fight poverty and injustice alongside children, families, and communities in nearly 100 countries worldwide. Fans were asked to vote for tasks they would wish to see the singer participate in and dancing won this round. Check out the video below.
