Valentine Ya Njaramba: Celebrate Valentines Day Kenyan Style

Valentine Ya Njaramba was one of the films that scored multiple nominations at last year’s Kalasha Awards, the Kenya Film Commission initiative that seeks to recognize excellence in film and television productions.

Tomorrow being Valentines Day, the film will screen at Starflix Cinemas at Prestige Plaza (Ngong’ Road) today, 12th, 13th and 14th of February at 6:00 p.m. The screenings started yesterday. Tickets will go for Kshs. 400.

The film tells the story of Njaramba who has just won tickets for two to Mombasa for Valentines Day. Unfortunately, he was recently dumped by his girlfriend but his friend knows a way round that. Also unfortunately, his friend is not so trustworthy.

The Kikuyu language film stars Sam Kihiu (Cobra Squad), AB Ndichu, Caroline Ngorobi, Peterson Gathambo, Caroline Wanjiru, Tabitha Wanjiru, Adijah Ali and Christine Njeri. The Timeless Illusions, Sanaa Zote and Shique Entertainment production was directed by Mbaya Kagwi and the cinematographer was Bishop Kinyua.
