You don’t need an Electric/Gas Oven to Bake a Cake
Have you had some problems, starting your baking career, and yet failed to get an oven? Today Ghafla brings you some great news. You do not need an Electric/Gas oven to bake. Here are some amazing ways you can have your cake ready in no minute.
Home constructed Ovens
Have yourself a traditional Oven constructed in your compound. This particular technique borrows a few concepts from the ordinary electric/ gas oven, ie regulated heat, and timing. There are different sections, one for placing the cake, and another for passing the heat. Some of these ovens use firewood, whereas modernized ones use charcoal. You will not even be able to tell the difference.
The Sand Soil Technique
If you have prepared your cake mixture well, place it aside, and make fire on a sigiri/ three stone. Place a pan, half filled with sand soil, and let it heat up for 15-30 minutes. Carefully pour your cake mixture into a smaller glazed pan, with a lid, and place the pan inside the already heated soil. Cover the larger saucepan with it’s own lid, to keep the heat concentrated within, and place back on the sigiri. Give it about an hour before checking on the cake.
Contract someone
If the above techniques fail, simply contract a friend or neighbor to bake for you the cake. You can then be found applying the icing sugar, and still say you baked it. Good luck with your baking….
