Top Five Best Former All Girls Music Groups

1. The Obsessions. Do we all recall this group? It started as a boys and girls group and they entertained us with songs such as “Dance with me” However, this group later split.

The group then became all girls with Cleopatra Koheirwe, Brenda Nambi, Sharon Nalukenge, Jackie Tusiime. Later on, they all scattered, and people like Sheba Karungi joined but left later on. In the end, it was just Nalukenge and Tusiime. 

2. Blu 3. Do you recall hits like Hitajo, Freasky and Burrn? Well they came from what I would refer to as the best female singing group that ever existed in Uganda. This group came together at the Cocacola popstars and was the best combination ever made.

It had Jackie Chandiru, Cindy Sanyu and Lillian Mbabazi. Later on, Cindy left and was replaced in the group. Currently, they have split to do music individually.

3. Chilli girls. This group was massive. One hit and their names spread allover tbe country. Do you remember that song called “Omulungi Yoono?”

The group had a strong female manager, Judith Namazzi aka Juditihiana and nobody ever thought it would break. According to our sources however, The owner of Universal studios under which they were quitand their manager was also fired.

4. HB Toxic. This group had its roots from the obsessions girls group. Hellen Lukoma and Brenda Nambi weighed their options and pounced at the available chance.

The duo did hits like “Nkufeelinga” before Brenda was revealed to be stepping aside as a solo artist. Hellen also branched into acting and she is currently a fashion designer.

5. Dream girls. Comprising of Leila Kayondo, Rena Nalumansi and Anita Da Diva, this group blessed us with songs such as “Weekend” They had a huge fan base, but like the other girl music groups split up to pertake of solo careers. There was a rumor however that the group would get back together, and we are still waiting for that.
