The Kabaka’s Run 2018 Launched

The Annual Kabaka’s run 2018 has been officially launched, between the Buganda Kingdom and Airtel Uganda. This is a little fun for the people in and around the city.  A celebration of the Birthday of the Royal, Kabaka Ronald Mutebi. It has for many years been termed as the biggest run in the country. This shows just how the Buganda population is loyal to their royal leader.

THE DATE HAS BEEN SET

This run has always attracted thousand of masses. This time, as the king is making 62 years of age, the numbers could be greater. A date has been set for the 6th of next month, April, with the theme on “reducing the sickle cell burden”. From various sources, we have confirmed that the Uganda Sickle Cell Rescue Foundation was the first to get themselves tickets, worth 8 million. There is nothing for special than running for a great cause.

“We want to continue championing the struggle for healthy Ugandans because when people are healthy, they can then be more productive to the country. I call upon all Ugandans to join us in this cause and participate in the run,” mentioned Katikkiro of Buganda,  Charles Peter Mayiga  during the launch of the event.

The tickets are already on sale, at three identified spots. These include; Vision Group, Airtel Wampeewo, and Majestic Brand Bulange in Mengo. They are going for a sum of 10,000 shillings and Airtel Uganda has pledged their support throughout the entire initiative.
