Restaurant Review: Choma Zone
Over the weekend, it may become hard to decide what to eat and from where. The usual fries, tasty chicken and fast foods, do not give you that little shiver anymore. Matooke, Rice and a full buffet may seem too heavy a meal for the afternoon. Here is a perfect restaurant review, for a place you have to try out. Choma Zone
The experience
Having made a few round of calls to friends for a perfect suggestion of a place to have lunch, we drove around hunting for this eat out zone. Colleagues had shared that it is a branch of a Kenyan restaurant. It has two branches, one in Bugolobi, and the other in Ntinda. We headed past Stanbic bank but unfortunately got lost. For may restaurants, the phone numbers provided on their face book pages is usually off, but for Choma, a lady answered right away.
The Meals
A perfect mix between fast food and a heavy afternoon meal. When you reach the restaurant, head straight for the wet fry goat meat. It is fried until dark brown, and served with hot white Ugali. To add a little more to the mix, you are given a generous amount of Sukumawiki to go with it. Choma Zone will give you a typical satisfactory meal, with well prepared Kachumbari. They also have nicely prepared chicken, fish, ribs and sauces, all coming together with a a huge amount of posho.
You have got to taste it to feel it.
