Celebrated Ugandan Singer, Ray Signature of the ‘Kasenyanku’ fame last Friday had the embarrassment of his life when he was forced to perform before empty chairs during his western tour in Kabale town.
The show that had been organised and hosted by Pine Club Kabale never lived to its billing and hence a countable number of people turned up.
A confident and geared up Ray Signature took giant strides as he entered the once popular hangout spot , only to find that it was almost empty as only few tens of revellers, and hangout staff were inside.
Nevertheless, he could not make a u-turn and fail to perform.
The embarrassed and enraged singer was forced to sing before the few tens of fans and thousands of empty chairs.
However, the nightmare did not last long, however, as the artiste stopped his performance even before ten minutes could elapse. He stealthily and angrily sneaked out of the venue and jumped into a waiting car and speed off.
The singer was visibly angry with the event organizers, who, according to reports had not done any significant activation and publicity.
Pine Club was one a famed hangout spot in Kabale when it was owned by eccentric Asian Khalid Latif but has since gone to the dogs and no longer pulls crowds.
The spot has operated under different names and brands since the Asian Latif left it; changing from its original name, Elite, to Pine Health Club, X bar and lately Pine Club.
The “Extinct” singer is set to perform next in Kisoro town, located in Kisoro district. Lets see what happens next.
