The singer turned teacher joins the array of entertainers in the political arena as she has been announced as the official NRM flag bearer for newly created Bugweri district.
The Afrigo Band member won the race after beating three other contestants with a landslide victory.
She collected 13,172 votes, followed by Amina Mutesi with 6,691 votes, Birabwa Rose with 5,667, and Musibika Monica with 1,409 votes.
Magoola is left with that giant task of facing off with opponent Sarah Babirye of the JEEMA party, People Power’s Mercy Walukamba, and FDC’s Lillian in the final showdown for the Bugweri Woman MP seat.
