Long Blue Truck Breaks Down. Blocks Karuma Bridge

Added onto the mysteries of the Karuma Bridge, are the vehicles that end up falling into the heavily flowing water. Many attribute this to the fact that the sharp corners, from both sides are quite had to negotiate. Many vehicle fail to make the turn, and end up heading straight for the river.

A long came a long blue truck that narrowly escaped this fate. From what we know, the vehicle, which was moving from Kampala to Juba, South Sudan lost control on the bridge, but the driver managed to stop it from plunging into the fast flowing waters.

This adds onto the incident in early last month, when a truck traveling from Nebbi plunged into the Nile. This truck however, long as it is, landed just on the rails, and blocked the bridge, leaving hundreds of travelers stranded for hours. There were several messages circulating to let people know that they needed to make a road diversion. The truck was removed safely and nobody got injured. Glory be to God.
