Keko Tweets About her Freedom In Canada.

We all know Keko, we all love Keko. One of the women who put a new string into Uganda’s Hiphop, showing the whole EAST African region that women can rap.

A few months back, word hit social media that Keko tweeted about how stranded she was in a shelter in Canada. She had said she had no idea about how she got there. However, some time back she later informed her almost heartbroken fans that she was okay, and had joined Toronto School of film.

Keko has since then been showering her fans with amazing photos of her enjoying Canada. She also tweeted how she was free to expess her sexuality. Keko was not shy to tell Ugandans that she was gay, and thought it would be an opportunity for other people hiding to celebrate out.

Homosexuality however, was declared illegal in Uganda, and anyone caught practising it would experience alot of segregation and shaming. With her move to Canada, it seems she is not scared anymore.

In addition to this, she also wrote a thank you message;

“Thank you Canada for giving me a new home. I feel free like a new person. It was a burden to live in a box and walk on egg shells.”

Keko is a talented girl from Tororo Uganda, who has always been a Tomboy. She has done amazing hits like “Alwoo”, “Make you dance,” ” This is how we do it” and many others. she was also for a short will signed by sony.
