Don Moen already in the country ahead of the Kampala Praise Fest

International and legendary worship leader, song writer and Pastor, Don Moen finally arrived in Uganda on Wednesday 6th February  for the Kampala Praise Festival scheduled to take place on Friday 8th February, 2019 at Kololo airstrip in Kampala.

The 68-year-old will lead Christians in worship and praise at the festival organised by RG-Consult, an East African 360 Creative, production, marketing, events management and consulting company registered here in Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.

Don Moen is popular for songs like God Will Make a Way, Thank you Lord, How great is our God, God is Good, Here We Are, Arise, I Will Sing, and many more that move believers globally.

He grew up in Minnesota in USA, then attended Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma, where his musical talents first bloomed.

During the late ’70s and early ’80s, he was a musician for Terry Law Ministries, first playing guitar and trombone but later adding arrangement and production to his resumé.

In 1984, Moen was hired by Michael Coleman of Integrity Incorporated, authors of the praise & worship series Hosanna! Music.

As worship leader, he helmed many successful volumes in the series, including Hosanna! Music: Give Thanks, which moved hundreds of thousands of copies and became the label’s best-seller.

Don Moen eventually worked on more than ten Hosanna! Music titles, and released his first album under his own name.

His song “God Will Make a Way” was nominated for a Dove Award, and he actually won one two years later, for the musical God With Us.
