Musician Geoffrey Lutaya and Lira District speaker fail UCE Exams
Reknown musicican Geoffrey Lutaaya and Lira District speaker George Opio are on the spotlight. The twp were among the many students that sat for the Uganda Certificate of Education exams this year. Their results were released on Thursday 31 2019, together with those of the other pupils that sat the examinations.
News coming in however, is that both the musician and the speaker failed to score to their expectations as they were all above 60 aggregates. Geoffrey Lutaaya scored a 62 and the speaker, George Opio nailed a 66 putting both in grade four.
The jolly speaker in an interview said that he is happy about the certificate regardless of the marks he scored. He had an f9 in Physics, chemistry, mathematics , biology , geography, CRE and Commerce and a P8 in English and Agriculture. He however performed best in his native language Lango in which he scored C5.
While speaking to one of the local TVs on Friday morning, musician Geoffrey Lutaaya re assured his fans that he passed well all his subjects including Luganda . He shared that he had sat for the same exams in the early 1990s and also passed. He resat the entire level just to prove his confidence.
It should be noted that the singer wants to stand in the forth coming 2021 general elections and he promised to get upto a Degree in these years. We wish him luck.
