BASATA clears Diamond Platnumz to release music after 2018 ban

Diamond Platnumz woke up a happy man when received clearance from Tanzania’s entertainment body to go on performing.

Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa (BASATA) banned a couple of his songs, particularly  his collaboration with Rayvanny titled ‘Mwanza’ which was regarded immoral and not fit for Tanzanians’ consumption.

He insisted it was a song to praise the town but the government showed their muscle and put a damper on him. This was banning him from performing anywhere in Tanzania yet this is where his bread comes from.

He and Rayvanny issued an apology which has now come to fruition as the ban has been lifted.

We can’t wait for the new music from diamond.
