Rwanda Signs Tourism Deal with Arsenal
We all know that apart from being the cleanest country in Africa, Rwanda is very organized. The Years of Genocide has in no way threatened the heights to which the country can reach. The country has signed a tourism deal with Arsenal club. Rwanda has it’s name printed on the sleeves of the jerseys of the International soccer players. This poses various opportunities in a way that they are visible to all the people around the world.
“The Arsenal shirt is seen 35 million times a day around the world,” said Vinai Venkatesham, Arsenal’s Chief Commercial Officer, in a statement released on the Club website. Rwanda is growing fast, and with this, they may become a city better than South Africa.
On the Visit Rwanda page, they tweeted about this new deal.
“We are delighted to announce #Rwanda has become the official tourism partner of @Arsenal and the Premiere League football club’s first ever sleeve partner”
It is a three year deal with the English Premier League and the first ever sleeve sponsorship, under the Rwanda Development Board (RDB). The logo, “Visit Rwanda” will be printed on the left sleeve of the first team, Under-23 and Arsenal Women’s shirts from the beginning of the new season,
OPPORTUNITIES CREATED FOR UGANDA
Many people may be threatened by this move Rwanda has taken. It is however more than beneficial to us as the neighboring country. We will have a spill over, of many people coming to visit Uganda. The many physical features we have poses a great opportunity for the tourism industry, Great Job Rwanda!
