Daniel Kaluuya Wins EE BAFTA Rising Star Award

Black Panther is out,and everyone’s eyes are focused on our golden Ugandan actors.  Daniel Kaluuya, whose parents are Ugandan, has once again made our country’s name be mentioned on media. He has just scooped an EE BAFTA rising star award.

DANIEL’S SPEECH

Apart from having a great sense of humor, this young man shapes his talent with humility. He went ahead to appreciate all that have guided him.

‘Evening, London city, hello… I’ve gone blank, thank you,’ he started, completely full of emotions.

‘Tessa, Tim, Josh and Florence, thanks to the people for voting for us all,’ he added. ‘I feel so privileged in be in your guys company, facts (sic).’

‘I am the products of arts funding in the UK, and I would  like to thank people who financially support that,’ he said.

BAFTA is the British Academy Film Awards, and the 28 year old game successful against Florence Pugh, Josh O’Connor, Timothée Chalamet and Tessa Thompson. He won this rising star award for his role in the horror movie, get out.

Kaluuya however started at a young age. Our sources say that he wrote his first play at nine. He then further exploded when he joined a British teen drama Skins as a writer, as young as 18. Daniel also thanked the woman who led him to where he is.

‘Mum – you’re the reason why I started, why I’m here, you’re the reason I keep going. This is yours. Love peace lets get it.”

The young actor also got himself nominations  for an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild awards for his role as in a 2017 horror film. Congratulations to you Daniel Kaluuya, and on your nominations. #BlackPanther Magic
