True Love Waits!! Man Weds His Love After 27 years In Prison (Photos)

A wedding in Bahati Nakuru has demonstrated what to many is love found only in the movies. The wedding was between a woman and a man who had just been released from prison after serving 27 years.

Charles Kinyua was arrested in 1988 when the wife was just three months old with their second born and their first born just two years old. He had been arrested for robbery with violence and the years saw him reform as he learnt different crafts in prison and even a course in theology.

The wife Josephine Wanjiru was still young then but through determination brought up the children and waited patiently for her man even with the strong possibility that they may never meet again. She still visited the husband and kept the faith concentrating instead on the young family.

When Charles was pardoned by President Uhuru last year, the wife fainted at the news and later celebrated when the family finally rejoined. The wedding was done at the St Emmanuel Crater PCEA Parish. Here are the photos.
