Too Many Projects X’s! Some 2000 Teens Stranded After Police Moved In To Stop Eldoret Carnival Labeled Project X (Photos)
Is it that there are too many Projects X’s or authorities are just paranoid? Teenage festival in Eldoret was stopped on grounds that it was another sex party!
Just last Thursday, A South Sudanese woman was arrested for hosting a controversial party that attracted over 500 teens.
Eldoret’s Colour Festival which had attracted more than 2000 teens was last Saturday stopped by authorities who labeled it Project X sex party.
Colour Festival an electronic dance music festival that incorporates the element of color powders from the Indian festival of ‘Holi’ combined with modern electronic dance music showcased by both international and local artists/DJs.
Teens turned up in their numbers at Gulap Lochab social hall only to be told the event had been called off by authorities who feared Project X taking place under their watch.
The cancellation however didn’t stop the teenagers from splashing each other with colors; they enjoyed themselves outside the venue but they couldn’t be allowed inside.
Organizers of Colour Festival were shocked following the cancellation of their gig, they had notified authorities about the event and had made it clear it wasn’t a sex party.
