“This Star Newspaper Is a True Gutter Press.” Celebrated Nominated MP Isaac Mwaura Slays The Star Newspaper

Nominated MP Isaac Mwaura is something close to an icon given his achievements and work ethic and his idolized marriage life.

Known for his affable character, the MP has however, been irked by recent reports in one of the countries news dailies which reported that he was among three MPs who had decamped from ODM/CORD to join Jubilee. Taking issue with what he termed as wrong reporting, the MP criticized the newspaper in two separate at even called it a gutter press newspaper.

Given the disdain with which the mainstream press has treated local blogs, it seems they are joining the tabloid bandwagon quite fast. Here are the remarks from the MP;

This star newspaper is a true gutter press.Not even a quote from me to corroborate their rumour mongering. Those who decamped are Mpuru Aburi, K1 and Richard Onyonka.

The star newspaper has reported that Hons Stephen Kariuki, Mpuru Aburi and myself have defected to jubilee. I wish to clarify that it’s Hon Kariuki, Aburi and Richard Onyonka. The paper hasn’t even quoted me verbatim. It’s good to check on facts and report objectively. This paper has a penchant for wrong reporting and it’s not the first time it has done so to many a people. I am an ODM nominated MP
