Willy Paul’s name has become synonymous with controversy. So much so that I am considering using the name Willy Paul in place of controversy. I kid. But back to the story that had Willy Paul trending on the damn internets: The Trend.

Willy Paul was away in America for a month touring over 13 States and having the time of his life. And when he came back, his first interview was with Larry Madowo on the popular NTV show The Trend. So what exactly rubbed KOT (Kenyans On Twitter) the wrong way? Well, maybe it was the accent -saying “worra” instead of water. Maybe it was the KCSE grade (allegedly a B-). Or maybe it was the change in name -Willy Paul now goes by the name Willy Paul Msafi.
