This Is What Has Been Flown Into The Country From US Ahead Of The Obama Visit

Since the announcement by State House that US president Barack Obama would be visit Kenya come June, a lot has been going on secretly in preparations for the most powerful man’s visit.

Reports indicate that among the things the US government has done to ensure Kenya is safe for Obama include flying in more than 200 secret service officials.

The officials have already arrived in the country and are working closely with the Kenyan government to beef up security ahead of the visit.

While some are in Nairobi, others have been flown to Kisumu where Obama is expected to make a stop because it is his father’s place of birth and his grandmother, Sarah Obama, lives there.

It is also reported that armoured cars have already been flown into the country.

These are the cars the US president and his entourage will use as they tour Kenya. The cars are believed to be parked at the UN headquarters in Gigil, Nairobi.

UN secretary of state John Kerry is expected in the country next week ahead of the Obama visit and it is believed he is ironing out everything to make sure the visit is successful.

Obama’s visit means that he will become the first US sitting president to set foot in Kenya.
