These Are The Beautiful Faces That Adorned the Launch Of Miss Tourism Kenya Teeniz (Photos)

As devolution took root in Kenya, a new force was also being curved out. Miss Tourism Kenya, was born.

The beauty pageant geared towards the promotion of tourist attraction sites in all counties has grown in leaps and bounds in just a couple of years. Beauty queens selected to represent their counties create awareness of the flora and fauna in their respective counties.

Following the success of Miss Tourism Kenya, the initiators of the programme, Vera Beauty & Fashion College has partnered with Dreamz Come True talent search programme in launching a junior Miss Tourism Kenya, what is officially known as Miss Tourism Kenya Teeniz.

The launch was an auspicious occasion hosted by both founders of Vera Beauty & Fashion College and Dreamz Come True talent search programme, Mrs. Kamunge and Francis K Mwangi respectively, was attended by aspiring beauty queens in high school and those that have just cleared their O-levels.

Speaking during the launch, Mrs. Kamunge lauded Dreamz Come True for nurturing talent from a tender age, something that polishes the girls’ talents in modelling.

“Because we have seen Miss Tourism working, why not go to them at high school level? And that’s why today we are here to introduce Miss Tourism Teeniz”, said Mrs. Kamunge

She added that realizing how many students want to be models right from high school programme, it was necessary to launch a program that will groom them to be decent, respectful, morally upright and learned models.

“This programme will coach the young models to be focused and how to take their education seriously because even if they beautiful, beauty isn’t everything, they need to be trained to carry themselves as professional models so that they can be taken seriously”, remarked Mrs. Kamunge.

On his part, Mr. Mwangi was delighted that what started as a category in Dreamz Come True is now a stand-alone programme.

“We have officially scrapped the modelling category from Dreamz Come True and now launch Miss Tourism Kenya Teenies, which has been made possible by our partnership with Vera Beauty & Fashion College.

He added that high school students interested in modelling, and under Dreamz Come True, will now compete in Miss Tourism Kenya Teeniz pageant.
