The Untold Tale Of How Brenda Wairimu Lost One Of Her Babies
Brenda Wairimu conceiving was sort of a miracle as she was able to conceive at 39 Kgs which is pretty uncommon for people with such low body weight.
This according to experts at Baby Centre this because “If your body fat is too low, it disrupts the flow of hormones from your brain to your pituitary gland. This means that the signal from the pituitary gland to tell your ovaries to release an egg doesn’t happen. So even if you have plenty of healthy eggs, they’ll stay put in your ovaries. “
Also if you get pregnant when you weigh a few kilos there is a risk of having a baby smaller than expected.

But despite this hurdles she was able to conceive and not only conceive but she was pregnant with twins. Unfortunately she lost the other twin.
“The seven week scan showed a twin pregnancy, identical twins they said. But one vanished at a later scan. I was devastated. I cried my heart out. I had already adjusted to the idea of identical twins. They explained that it was normal called it the ‘Vanishing Syndrome.’ I felt like I had lost a baby.” She told True Love Magazine.
The Vanishing Twin Syndrome (VTS) is where you start off with twins, one passes away and disappears and the foetal tissues are absorbed back into the mother’s body or the other twin or placenta.
