Jamii Bora Bank has a new TV advert and guess who was part of the cast? The mother to a leading gospel singer.

Gospel singer, L Jay Maasai, couldn’t help but sing praise to the Lord when he saw her mother on TV and billboard.

The singing moran says he could believe her mother who used to sell second hand clothes to make ends meet, was now featuring for a TV commercial.

“I remember like it was yesterday, how you struggled and worked so hard to make sure I had a meal on my table. How you worked extra hours and even sold ‘mutumba’ clothes after work and on weekends just to make an extra coin to pay my school fees. We had long seasons of life where we felt like nothing was working and everything was out of place, and we’ve had frustrating days where we just could not seem to get anything accomplished. You taught me to be patient and to wait upon God. Not to envy other people but to be content with the little I had. Now i switch on the TV and see your ever smiling face, it’s not normal to drive down the highway and see your Mum on a billboard. God is indeed faithful.” L Jay wrote in part.
