As much as he is a performing artiste and particularly a gospel musician, singing moran L Jay Maasai is still practicing the Maasai culture.

Once a soldier always a soldier, L Jay Maasai once a Maasai herds boy is now a full Maasai moran. Despite being one of the finest gospel artists in the country, L Jay is not letting go his culture that easy. The singing moran is a living example of how an artist can achieve the balance between his traditions and their professional music careers.

Many are probably accustomed to seeing L Jay with a well groomed hair, one that is as a result of seating in a barbershop for a couple of minutes or maybe hours.

L Jay however decided to get rid of the modern stylish haircut, he allowed his hair to grow and styled it like a typical Maasai maron. His hair is now long and tightly braided into an elaborate style of the Maasai morans.

Isn’t he looking great? The hair style looks like an improved version of Mohawk, you wouldn’t be so surprised to see guys copying L Jay’s hair style.
