The Journey That Is Fatherhood: K-Letta (Father Of Mwalimu Rachel’s Son) Opens Up About Fatherhood

Father’s day is right around the corner. Most of us have fathers and many of us are already fathers. Not alot of thought is ever paid to the journey that is fatherhood and I am sure not many can muster the courage to say these three words to their fathers: “I Love You”. Think about it. Really think about it. How many of you say these words to the men who protected and provided for us as we grew up? And so, I have decided to do a small series of sorts about fathers. Most can’t muster the courage to say just three words and it’s alright, men are creatures of few words. But I want to give men an opportunity to talk about their journey into fatherhood:

Mwalimu Rachel is one of the most beautiful ladies on radio (103.5 Homeboyz).

And K-Letta one of the most talented rappers in Kenya. The pair of them kept their relationship hush hush -an understandable move when you’re a high profile couple. Fortunately for them, their love has yielded fruit; a bouncing baby boy. A cute one at that. I reached out to K-Letta for him to tell me about his journey into fatherhood and this was what he had to say:

What’s good world!
If I’m to keep it 100, when I found out I’d be a father it was initially kinda scary. But once the doctors visits, advice from family and shopping for baby clothes began I was in my stride. Plus having the hottest chick in the game certainly helps 🙂
Having not had the best relationship with my father, I ensure that my son gets the best of me.

Fatherhood has definitely changed me, I’m more about my business, my time is super valuable. As an artist it’s inspired me plenty and really gotten the creative juices flowing, especially now as I prepare my debut album. Shout out to all the fathers that are involved in their kids lives!

The one drink I would have gotten for this father to celebrate his journey would be a Johnnie Walker! Why? Because that is how you celebrate a father. You give him something of value that will pass the message across!
