The Collabo Between Sauti Sol And Hussein Machozi Is Finally Out. Check It Out Here

Last year, it was announced that Sauti Sol and Tanzanian Bongo sensation Hussein Machozi. For those of you who do not know Hussein Machozi, he is the lad that gave us “Kafia Ghetto”. A song that rocked Kenyans back in 2007 and was by my not so humble estimations was the biggest track in Kenya and Tanzania.

The track that is relevant to us today is called “Utapenda”. The track that was done in Sauti Sol’s “Kitchen” is a very refreshing break from the usual for Hussein Machozi and indeed for Sauti Sol whom I suspect were seeking to cross over to Tanzania seeing as they are already a household name in Kenya.

Anyway, the track is a good track which has amalgamated the island feel (complete with xylophones) and African drums with a keyboard to harmonize the otherwise clashing sounds so well. I am immensely impressed by the production work that was done on the instrumentals! He had better be in the running for awards this year -and by he I mean Mudigi Savara whom I hear created the instrumentals.

The vocals are so well put together but i was puzzled on not hearing Chimano’s set of vocal chords on the track. It seemed to be a duet between Bien and Hussein but none the less, the track is awesome!

I cannot say much about the song’s content because I was lost in enjoying the nitty gritties of the song which were near perfect! Check the song out below and enjoy this wonderful musical offering:
