Supermodel Tyra Banks coming to Nairobi?
Tyra Banks reality show America’s Next Top Model has arrived in Africa! And we all want to know, will she be here with the crew?
America’s Next Top Model began 20 or so cycles ago, and Kenyans have watched many a season loving the drama with each. So when we heard they were coming to Nairobi, we wanted to know, is super sexy Tyra (that’s “Miss Banks” to you) coming?
Unfortunately, the green-eyed bombshell will not be here. However, our consolation we are still excited because the African edition is being hosted by the uber-hot and mega successful Oluchi Onweagba!(the Face of Africa)
So Nairobi models, get ready to show OUT for the ANTM Africa team! They will be looking for the most beautiful girl with undeniable talent, originality, creativity, passion and humour. Don’t forget this is a reality show, so bring all your extra-ness, ratchet-ness, fabulous-ness, wacky-ness or whatever else you got to give you an edge over the competition!
Nairobi auditions are being held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) on Sunday, 14th July 2013 from 7am – 7pm.
If you are planning to audition then you need to know the following:
Application form: You must have a completed form with 3 pictures of you (specs on the photos given below).

Photos: 1 headshot and 2 full body shots. The photos do not need to be professional but they should be good quality and recent. The headshot should be a clear close up of your head and face. The body shots should have you clearly visible (from head to feet). One of you fully clothed and another in a swimsuit.
Passport: A valid passport. If you do not have one, proof of a temporary passport will do.
Age Limit: You must be between the ages of 18-27
Height Requirement: The minimum is 5’7″ to participate on the show.
The auditions are free to attend. Once again there is NO CHARGE to participate in this competition.
So, if you think it could be you, head on down to KICC this Sunday. And to all aspiring ladies, Kenyan models are out there killing the game, so make sure you step it all the way up. Get your hair right, clothes right, shoes right, nails did, walk tight, be eloquent and most of all BE YOURSELF.
And for the rest of us who just really wanted to see Tyra, guess we’ll just have to wait for her flyness to make an appearance on the show. Speaking of appearances on the show…. I wonder who the judges for this African edition will be? (Ann McCreath? Ann McCreath? Calling Ann McCreath?)
