Students And Fire Brigade Fight To Save One Of JKUAT’s Largest Hostel As It Burns (Photos)

Just a few days after students rioted causing havoc on the Thika Road Highway, a big fire has erupted at one of the biggest hostels in JKUAT main campus.

The fire which started on the hostel’s top floor erupted today during the day causing scare at the JKUAT based institution. No casualities have been reported and while the Kiambu fire brigade delayed a bit, it arrived with the necessary equipment to aid the students with the effort and at the time of reporting the fire was being managed.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established but there is speculation that it could have been as a result of an electrical fault.
