While the just concluded #BeyondZero First Lady Half Marathon was a success by any means managing to raise 190 million, it appears Kenyans especially those on Twitter are mad.

Their anger is not directed to the marathon itself nor the first lady person but rather the fact that such a crucial aspect of the nation’s healthcare is left to the generosity of well-wishers and the drive of the first lady.

With the rampant corruption everywhere and huge sums in billions of shillings looted, many felt the marathon was more like a PR exercise after all that looting of public funds which would have seen to it that the clinics are built without a fundraising exercise.
