Time to be free! The behind-the-scenes story about an international hit made in Kenya!

When Betsafe and four content creators came together, nobody thought a hit song would be the outcome.

Free, by The Jacks ft Prince Mpedzisi has taken the charts by storm and continues to grow in popularity.

The song, whose main messaging focuses on encouraging people to chase their dreams while remaining rooted to their values has been well received by audiences.

The lyrics drive a call for people to try as much as possible and adopt stress-free lifestyles while enjoying the little things or as we say, “Raha Wajipa Mwenyewe”.

The Jacks, a new group featuring popular internet content creator, Julius Ochieng of Wololo TV, creatively brought the piece to life backed by the vocals of international artist Prince Mpedzisi.

The song, sponsored by gaming platform, Betsafe, has received rave reviews on YouTube with fans applauding the creativity and execution of the song and video.

“Our content is all about spreading joy and happiness. We’re in times where everything seems tough, so we decided to just make people feel good,” remarked Julius.

Prince, the international artist behind the beautiful vocals was upbeat about the project and the opportunity to co-create with the band.

“It was an honour to collaborate with my Kenyan brothers. It’s not so often you get to create such a beautiful piece of work,” said Prince.

The Jacks and Prince will be live on the Mash-up on NTV on Thursday at 10PM and will also perform on Citizen’s Ten Over Ten on Friday at 10PM.
