SONU Offices At University Of Nairobi’s Main Campus Burnt By Rowdy Students Demonstrating Against Babu Owino (Photos)

University of Nairobi’s demonstrations have degenerated to violence that saw SONU offices razed down!!

There has been tension at University of Nairobi ever since Babu Owino was re-elected as SONU chairman.

SONU elections were marred with cases of voter bribery and rigging. Babu’s opponents claimed the career student rigged the election.

Students opposed to Babu’s win have been engaging police in running battles for the better part of Monday morning.

Rowdy students managed to torch SONU offices at UoN main campus despite the presence of heavy security.
