Sonko Fears For His Life As His Bodyguard Is Shot Dead At Night

Bakari Tsuma one of the police officers attached to Mike Sonko’s security team has been shot dead.

The 38 year old police officer was shot dead at night in Kasarani. At that time the police officer was taking his wife out for dinner when he was accosted by a four man gang. Nairobi police commander Japheth Koome confirmed the incident saying the slain cop was shot in the head and the murderers made away with his pistol.

The wife called for help and managed to rush the officer to Nairobi Hospital where he was confirmed dead upon arrival. The news had alarmed a number of people most notably the Nairobi Senator Sonko.

Sonko called for speedy investigations in a press briefing asking the police to establish those behind the murder since according to him they were professionals on a mission. The officer’s body will be laid to rest at his home in Kwale County today.
