Smitta Smitten Loses His Mother-In-Law
Standard Group media personality Smitta Smitten (real name Tony Mochama)lost his Mother-in-law, Nita Lucas over the weekend.
According to sources, Nita had been battling with her illness over a long period of time and passed on in a local hospital while Smitta and his wife Sharanova were attending to her.
Smitta is set to launch his novel, Princess Adhis, this coming Thursday evening at the Professional Center in downtown Nairobi. The title was initially scheduled for release at last year’s Hay Festival but undisclosed circumstances led to the release being delayed. He promised his fans that the book would be out before this year’s edition of the Hay Festival.
“It’s sad, I have dedicated my novel to her, she was so dear to us. I have already confirmed that Shaffie Weru and singer Wahu among other celebrities will be attending the launch,” Smitta said.
The charismatic writer is most famous for his SMS-language style articles in the Standard Newspaper’s Pulse pullout magazine, which introduced Kenyans to a new and unique form of literary expression.
