Shock As Two Other Women Are Baterred Brutally By Husbands Days After Another Had Her Hands Chopped Off (Photo)

Just as the public is still recovering from the story of Jackline Mwende who was slashed by her husband for not bearing children, two other women have met similar fate.

While Jackline Mwende stories made headlines and she is nursing grievous injury and the loss of both arms, her case is now being used as an example by other callous and murderous men in the country. In Laikipia County, two ladies were unsuspecting victims of brutal attacks and are now admitted to the Nyahururu Referral hospital recovering from horrendous wounds.

23 year old Vivian Moraa is one of the victims. She was coming from work and having received her wages, she decided to buy household goods on her way home. However, on getting home, her husband was angry at her for spending the money while he had none and threatened to chop her hands off just like those of the lady in the TV as he attacked her. She sustained severe head injuries.

In the second incident, Zipporah Wanjugu had gone to pick her baby to breastfeed after her husband had grabbed him and gone with him to his place. The couple were living separately after the husband had abandoned his duties. While going to pick the baby the husband became hostile abusing her and attacking her with a panga leaving her unconscious with serious hand and head injuries. They are both recovering from the attacks at the hospital

The incidents highlight just how vicious, violent and fatal domestic abuse is becoming and it is an issue that needs addressing urgently.
