Sauti Sol Saves Kenya From Public Humiliation In USA
Over the weekend, on Saturday to be precise, Kenya was being shamed in the United States but Sauti Sol saved the day.
African artists gathered in Dallas, Texas for the annual African Music Magazine Music Awards (AFRIMMA).
Several Kenyan artists; Jaguar, Willy Paul, STL, Sauti Sol, Juliani among others were nominated for the prestigious award.
Well, either Kenyans don’t vote or our music must be shoddy in the ears and eyes of international audience. Only Sauti Sol and DJ Simple Simon managed to scoop a prize.
Kenyans were left to clap as Nigerians and Tanzanians dominated the list of winners. Diamond was the overall winner; the ninja carried home four awards that night.
Ohh! The Kenyan singing quartet bagged Best Dance Group.
