Sauti Sol Release Brand New Tracks

One of the regions leading record labels, Penya Africa, have just announced the online release of a self titled EP (Extended Play) by the Kenyan award winning group Sauti Sol which is produced by multi-talented South African rapper/ producer Spoek Mathambo.

Celebrated for blending warm resonant pop sounds with traditional Kenyan influences, Sauti Sol’s mélange of energetic rhythms have endorsed the quartet to become one of East Africa’s most celebrated bands.

For months in between Johannesburg and Nairobi, in studios and through emails and on Skype, Sauti Sol worked tirelessly with Spoek and his team. The end result is the much-anticipated edgy EP, whose diverse sounds and up-beat tempo reflect on the band’s mission to break musical stereotypes and borders.
