Sakata Judge’s Real Feelings About The Sakata Finals

What do show judges really thing about the crews that appear on Sakata? We all know that they sign contracts that stipulate that they cannot state certain things about the show nor the competitors but one judge to a popular Citizen TV dance competition did just that.

And what exactly does Judge Joanne of the immensely popular dance show “Sakata” which airs on citizen think about the crews that appeared on this season?

“Overall none of the grouped wowed me jana. The performances for the semis were much better as well as the auditions. I didn’t give out one 10 during the finals which is rare. I assume that the events at Westgate had an impact on everyone including the dancers since the dance routines during the other rounds were better rehearsed and had more intelligent choreography.

Yawa

YAWA had a good concept but it didn’t come out well on stage. They need to work on their extensions, levels, arching, and dancing with their entire bodies to make their routine seem believable.

Igiza and Limbo

Igiza and Limbo were the best as far as technique, good routine and stage presence however Limbo’s mirror concept was done on another dance show. Igiza’s performance slumped middle of the routine onward. Igiza has a girl in their group who is amazing in hip hop technique. I am singling her out because during the finals the routine attempted to showcase her as the female beauty which did not showcase her skill as well as other routines that I‘ve seen from them. Let the girl dance.

Young Titans

Young Titans looked like they got stage fright. There was one member of their crew who constantly forgot the steps throughout the whole routine. At the end he miss judged a flip and looked like he seriously injured himself. For a final performance shaking but and showing off your chest is not the way forward to win a competition.

The Band

I don’t know what the The Band were trying to do. They became Everlast, FGT and A-team and Papa Shirundula all at once. If they would’ve stuck to their flawless, lyrical style they would’ve won without a doubt.

Everlast

I’m happy that Everlast won based on how they performed from the auditions all the way to the semi-finals but I am not happy that it was a lazy win based on how they performed yesterday. They had a prop which they didn’t use well. Keep in mind that the results are tallied based on the judgment of all of the judges and not just one person. I wish Everlast well and congratulate them because they are a good dance crew, have grown so much and they create some amazing performances.”

Now you know.
