Seth Meyers’ son born in apartment lobby
Seth Meyers and his wife welcomed their second son, Axel Strahl Meyers recently.
On Monday night on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Seth shared how his son was born.
After a regular walk in the park, his wife started feeling something, and they thought the baby could be on the way.
Things however went so fast.
“I’m feeding our son Ashe lunch. My wife is upstairs with my mother-in-law Joanne and about 20 minutes into lunch Joanne comes downstairs and just looks at me and says, ‘We have to go to the hospital now!”
They then made their way to the lobby.
Seth’s wife realized she was not going to make it to hospital, even though Seth had already ordered an Uber.
“My wife just says, ‘I can’t get in the car. I’m going to have the baby right now. The baby is coming.’ I’m just trying to calm her down,” Seth continues.
The New York Fire Department and New York Police Department arrived in time to cut the baby’s umbilical cord and take them to hospital.
Seth thanked everyone involved except the Uber driver. “Fuck the Uber driver who charged me!”
