Robbie Malinga funeral service currently underway (Photos)

The Rhema Bible Church in Randburg, has seen family members, friends and fans gather to bid Robbie Malinga farewell.

A somber mood thus engulfs the church as the funeral service is ongoing.

Kelly Khumalo, Khaya Mthethwa and Musa Sukwene are among the musicians set to pay their music tributes at the service. Malinga’s wife and son will also pay their tributes.

Death

Malinga died at his Fourways home on Christmas day, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. At the time of his death, he was surrounded by family.

A memorial service was held on Friday 29 December, 2017, at the Grace Bible Church in Soweto.

Most noteworthy, Malinga is hailed as the pillar of SA’s music industry, whose loss has therefore, been greatly felt.

He is survived by his wife Ann, son Robbie Junior and daughter Zanokuhle.
