Ricky Rick on a mission to inspire young fathers

Ricky Rick hopes to inspire young black fathers. In doing that, he also hopes yo get rid of the ‘absent father’ stereotype.

He recently made a post saying: “To all the young black fathers out there; we don’t have to let the stereotypes become facts. Our children don’t need us to be rich. They don’t need us to be famous. They don’t need us to be perfect in any shape or form. All they need is for us to be there. As much as we can. They need us to hold them and tell them how much we love them. I know it’s not easy in every situation but lets get rid of the ‘absent black father’ stereotype. We are present and we are willing to do anything to see our children get a good childhood.”

Ricky has a son and makes it a point to do the best for his son. He highlighted his family beliefs in his previous album, Family Values. 

Ricky hopes his fatherly actions inspire young fathers to be present in their children’s lives.
