Moshidi Motshegwa speaks on circumstances of leaving The River
Actress Moshidi Motshegwa recently announced that she has left popular 1Magic’s soapie, The River. Her reason was the bad blood that had developed between herself and the producers.
She recently spoke about her exit on the show to Sunday Sun.
”First he(Executive Producer) said i am too expensive, then he wanted to diminish me. In October last year I was told(that) I was going to be offered a contract for season two and on 1 December, I signed it, but on 21 December, I was told(that) my contract was not valid as my character no longer had a story.”
Moshidi feels that what she endured was cruel.
‘‘What they did to me was cruel. I could not even say goodbye to some of the cast members.”
However, there is another side of the story from sources who claim that producers were unhappy with Moshidi’s off screen behavior. She was perceived as being a diva, and that she had a bad tendency of amending the script, of which irked the director.
She remains without regret on her exit.
