Mindy Kaling’s daughter receives amazing gift from Oprah Winfrey

Mindy Kaling’s daughter Katherine, received an amazing gift from Oprah Winfrey. The gift will keep on giving in years to come.

“I got a call from my assistant. She said, ‘Oprah’s assistant contacted me, she’d like to drop off a present.’ I’m thinking, that’s so nice, like, probably flowers. I had a kid, I’m a single mom. That’s really nice Oprah remembered,” Mindy said.

Oprah sent her a hand-carved bookcase containing 100 classic essential books in children’s literature. She had each book marked with the title: “Katherine’s Book Club.”

Oprah wanted the bookcase to look similar to the treehouse Mindy’s character lives in. Instead, it only looks like a beautiful castle.

“It’s the most amazing gift,” Mindy admitted.
