Deka Mchunu earns nomination
She has not been on the screens for many years. However, Deka Mchunu has made a name for herself in the industry. She has therefore been nominated for two categories in the Sabela Film & TV Awards. One is in the Best Newcomer Actress on TV and the other in Best Supporting Actress on TV.
She spoke to Isolezwe where she expressed her excitement at her first nominations ever.
“This is my first time getting nominated for an award in acting. This year marks the second year of me acting on Isibaya, it really makes me happy to know that I’m receiving love from where I come from even though I in another province.”
Deka has never studied acting and her nomination makes her even more excited.
