Crown Gospel Music Awards winners

The 10th annual Crown Gospel Music Awards took place on Sunday evening.

The awards saw gospel lovers support their favorite stars, in numbers.

Lebo Sekgobela bagged the Best Gospel Album award. Speaking after her big win, she said: “I am grateful to God more than anything. You become speechless when God rewards you at the right time. I’d like to also thank my fans and everyone who played ‘Lion of Judah’ and made it so big in December. Thank you to everyone who loves the album and went out to buy it.”

The Best Male title was taken home by Neyi Zimu. Benjamin Dube was honoured with the Artist of the Decade award while Dumi Mkokstad, Best Songwriter award.

The Song of the Decade award went to the late Sfiso Ncwane’s Kulungile Baba.
