Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum have split after almost nine years of marriage

After nearly nine years of marriage, Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan Tatum have decided to lovingly separate as a couple.

In a joint statement on social media released yesterday night, the couple broke the news.

“We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.”

According to the statement, Channing and Jenna are best friends who have decided their relationship has run its course.

The two will continue to be loving, dedicated parents to their 4 year old daughter, Everly.

Their announcement also added that there are “no secrets nor salacious events” that led to the split.

Channing and Jenna met in 2006 on the set of Step Up, and married in 2009.

Rumors about a split began when Jenna attended the annual Vanity Fair Oscars after-party alone. She explained that Channing was on daddy duty and so happy to have a night off.
